Seems to be a baby woobie pelt.
5pointz, the iconic artist’s haven in Queens known for it’s vibrant graffiti is no more. Yes, the building is there, but according to 5pointz’ twitter account, the entire facade was whitewashed during the evening.
5 pointz is gone, painted white overnight by the owner ..with police protection

I can’t tell you how incredibly depressing this is to a native New Yorker. As Starbucks, Banana Republic, and shi shi foo clothing stores pop up among the cookie cutter condos, 5Pointz was like an exuberant, wacky cousin that never let you forget where you came from.
Being a native of Queens, NYC, 5Pointz was something I was oddly proud of despite not being affiliated it with it by any means or having no artistic talent. The splashy tags and bight artwork to me was fit bump to 70’s New York and a look ahead through the 2000’s.
On my wedding day, I asked my awesome photographer to stop there after the ceremony for photos. I’m so grateful we did – it is of the most cherished moments in my life. It was a surprise to many in my wedding party, confused, they stepped out of their limo into the grimy streets of LIC and was quickly greeted with vibrant colors, smiles and a DJ.
And for one glorious hour we danced and posed among the colorful tags and bright artwork. The building seemed to have an energy all of its own.
Farewell, 5pointz. You were Queenz, NYC to me.
